I must admit I’m trawling the web for different Christmas fare. So I was really pleased when I found this little gem. It was created by Alexander Khanzhonkov in 1913. This is beautiful and quirky but I must admit I found myself wondering about the beetles and stop-frame animation….

I’ve watched a lot of animation and even did stop animation with students. This is wonderful! So quaint and clever, considering the technology available in 1913!
